One of frequently asked questions by UC Davis Health employees since last fall has been “will I need a new employee ID badge when UCPath launches?” According to UCDH Information Technology, current employees will not need a new badge or barcode on their badge. How employees use their badge will also remain the same as it does now when UCPath goes live. If an employee loses their badge, they will still receive the same ID number. However, once UCPath launches April 1st new hires will receive a badge with a new UCPath ID and barcode on it. 

UCPath's launch at UC Davis and UC Davis Health was postponed in late February after a large number of employee records improperly converted after several test periods. That impeded the ability to adequately test downstream systems, including systems that involve patient care. A new date will be announced in the Spring.
